Re: ASASSN-19qv: classical nova (11 mag) in the SMC
Hi All Sorry I'm slow replying Hamish. Well done! I have taken multiple spectra of this nova. It is getting pretty dim now at mag V=14.5 I don't think flux calibration would be easy with a SA200. I am using a slit spectrograph (LISA) and I can flux calibrate because I take simultaneous photometry th...

Re: V1369 Cen
I am posting to this old thread as I have been following this old nova and have taken spectra approximately yearly for the since the intensive monitoring ceased. It has slowly dimmed and is now in the nebula phase. Currently it is V= 13.4 v1369cen_20190629_484_TBohlsen.png v1369cen_19_18_17annual.pn...

Re: Suspected Symbiotic Stars: campaign for Adrian Lucy
Hi These stars are starting to become visible in the evening again. I have taken spectra of 2 further targets. GSC9507:2249 which is the 6th star on the list with no name. _gsc95072249_20190412_517_TBohlsen.png GAA_DR2_41315875002733611280 _gaa_dr2_41315875002733611280_20190413_519_TBohlsen.png Chee...

Re: Suspected Symbiotic Stars: campaign for Adrian Lucy
We have had poor weather in December so I haven't been able to do much observing. I did have some clear skies last night but with a full moon. I observed GAIA DR2 4636654969717900032 which I have observed before. It is a mostly flat featureless spectrum. I also observed the second star on the list w...

Re: comète 46p/wirtanen Alpy600 T400
I also had a try t obtaining a spectra.
This was from the zenith but with some hazy cloud around.
I could not remove the sky background as this was too contaminated with the coma of the comet.
