Re: HeI 6678 Campaign of gamma Cas
Robin,
The spectrum is in the same Y position on the sensor for all observations.
Its on all the sub exposures.
I did not take a reference star spectrum.

Jack

Re: HeI 6678 Campaign of gamma Cas
JLB,
As you have not detected it in your observations, I don't think its real, an artifact of the set up.
Thanks for your input.

Re: LHires III shifts with long exposures - how to handle?
Peter, My Lhires suffers from the same problem, you are not alone. So, I use SPOX, and do not touch the Lhires at all. Sometimes I see a wavelength calibration shift, sometimes I don't. It seems works to some degree. For us, everything in Spectroscopy is a compromise, do you want to get acceptable s...

Re: pi Aqr V/R and EW monitoring
Further to my previous question, I would like to ask the following in order to better understand the bigger picture; 1. What is the ultimate purpose of this study ? Is it to accurately determine the V/R period of Pi Aqr or is it for another purpose ? 2. The V/R period was 84 days, then it was 42 day...
