Re: Rho Cas Activity
Dear colleagues, our rho Cas monitoring, particularly the behavior of the red emission component seems to reveal as monthly average time behavior a cyclical variability of its radial velocity with a period of 216 days (see the attached plot). If I am informed right, such a cyclical property of the r...

Re: Astro Spectroscopy event of the year 2022
Dear colleagues! For all the interested people who intent to participate, here some additional information of the conference: Almost all corona protection measures (e.g. mask etc.) were lifted in Austria. We hope it stays that way so that the conference will take place. At present there are not any ...

delta Sco - next periastron
On behalf of Anatoly Miroshnichenko: ------------------------------------------- Dear colleagues, Please find attached a presentation about a spectroscopic campaign to observe the next periastron passage of the bright binary system with the primary Be component Delta Scorpii. Please pass this inform...

Re: 28 Tau ARAS monitoring
Dear colleagues, even when I communicated already some diagrams in terms of the time synchronous variability, here again as complementation and for clarification this kind of behavior of EW and CA (period = 280 d). EW and CA have been detrended of the long-term trends of its original monitorings. Er...

Re: 28 Tau ARAS monitoring
Hi Rainer.
unfortunately the spectral resolution is too low and hence the central absorption in Halpha not visible.

Re: 28 Tau ARAS monitoring
Dear colleagues, our current monitoring of the Be star 28 Tau includes among others the observation of the depth of the central absorption (CA) in the Halpha emission (see attached Fig.). This CA reflects the disk inclination in the observers view. The strong periodicity of the max. value of CA with...

Astro Spectroscopy event of the year 2022
Dear colleagues! The world wide most interesting astro spectroscopy event of the year 2022 will be the conference VEGA in Salzburg (Austria) for Amateurs in collaboration with the professional astronomy. Professional astronomers and amateurs will report in talks and presentations of the recent sta...

Monitoring of the ejection behavior of Rho Cas; Line flux and radial velocity of the Hα double peak emission Our previous observation efforts to describe scientifically relevant radial velocities and emission fluxes in the Hα range do not seem to me from today's point of view and especially in view...
