HD 81357 H-alpha line modification.

Post by Paolo Berardi »

I point out a recent modification of H-alpha line of Be star HD 81357. In my observation of 13 march emission is composed of three peaks, the middle one seems badly or not visible in previous spectra in BeSS database. It appears detached from blue shifted peak, perhaps similar to 2009-2010 spectra but more distinctly. I read that HD 81357 has been recently detected as a interacting binary with 33.7 days period (Ondrejov Observatory). Could this be a short-term change casually observed or is not related to 33d period?
