Comparison of AX Per taken the 31/07/2014 (OHP, Celestron 9 + VHIRES R = 50000)
and the 14/08/2014 (Castanet, C11 + VHIRES R = 50000).

Halpha line :

No perceptible change at this resolution (note Halpha and He, fully resolved).

[Fe VII] lines have disappeared during the outburst
Note also the low ratio [OIII] 5007/ [OIII] 4363
Temperature of the hot star drecrease during the outburst (expansion of the envelop)

C'est exactement ça, Jacques.
L'enveloppe qui entoure la naine blanche commence à se rétracter, sa température augmente (PV = nRT),ordre de grandeur : 100 000 K et son rayonnement se durcit, jusqu'à pouvoir ioniser le fer 6 fois. Les raies excitées par collisation [Fe VII] réapparaissent. On doit pouvoir également observer un renforcement des raies de forte excitation, comme ar exemple He II.

L'estimation de la température de l'objet chaud peut être réalisée à partir de la mesure des raies H béta, He II 4686 et He I 4471
