Hi Guys,
The photos below shows my UVEX3 and Calibrex guiding/calibration unit.
It works astonishingly well.
A few mods of course (!). Two x 50mm focal length doublets in the guider for better quality images, a Shelyak photometric slit used instead of the Alpy and a "larger" servo power board for stronger action. Otherwise it's the Nano control board as specified. I've added a 314L camera holder for the UVEX with multiple anchor points.
The photos show the calibration unit with the top removed and running the sequence of Wavelength, Flat and Dark/Bias frames.
I have Nano boards with bluetooth and wifi and paln to operate this wirelessly.
Thanks you for a most interesting project!
Kind Regards
Tony

How did you modify the slit holder to take the photometric slit?
I have a spare LISA slit but it is much larger than the holder. I may make a holder out of aluminium to accommodate the larger slit.

Hi Terry,
the photmetric slit is virtually the same mount/position as the Alpy air-spaced 'wheel'. They're interchangeable.
I might be wrong but it'll be very difficult to shoe-horn anything else in there!
The dimensions of slit-mirror-guide lens distances are very tight and you'll be hard pressed to keep collimation tolerances on the other side in the UVEX. The collimation mirror focuses within a millimetre!
I originally built the UVEX2 with the guide unit from the front half of Paul Gerlach's LowSpec last year plus my own designed calibration unit.
It worked well but, again, I was constrained by the UVEX dimensions/optics and not the guider.
Hope this helps.

Bravo Tony for the achievement
do not hesitate to compare your spectra with those in the UVEX database

AG Peg with the UVEX3/Calibrex. Not yet quite happy with the screen placement for Flats but I'm close to getting that sorted.

PS guys...
The LEDs are very bright! I could read my street's signs when taking dark frames with the blue LED illuminated.
Is this a fault with the LEDs I bought or have you experienced the same thing?
I think they may need to be attenuated.
Regards
Tony

Re: UVEX3/CALIBREXV2
Pourrais-tu m'aider ?
En te remerciant par avance.

Bonjour Alain,
Merci beaucoup, j'ai testé via le bouton Database d'ISIS, ça a marché sans problème.
Bonne journée.
