Re: Call for observations of the preoutburst phase of T CrB

Hi Francois, Thanks for the comments. I reworkd my spectra and below the result. First one is from July 26 and second one from July 31. I also added a 1D fit file and would be glad if somebody could check them and tell me if they are correct. T_Crb_300s_LISA_1000mm-0011_BDF_NHSA_20220726_16b.jpg T_C...

Re: Call for observations of the preoutburst phase of T CrB

Hi, Finally after solving my Plate Solving problem, perhaps due to the bad light pollution which has developped inmy place I was able to get a T CrB spectrum. I do not know if it is of any scientific value but anyhow I am glad I was able to get a Spectrum again. 9 images with 300 seconds exposure ti...

Re: driving glow-starter with very low voltage

mains power in new zealand is 240v 50 hz. but the AA-battery powered micro inverter outputs about 120v at very high frequency, circa 15kHz. I successfully installed it on the spectrograph and used it a couple of nights ago. if you remove the capacitor you will probably be emitting some broadband RF...

Re: driving glow-starter with very low voltage

Hi Hamish,
Interesting. What is your main power voltage in your house ?

110V or 220V ?

I ask because at 120V AC all my starter lamps blow up, but I use them without the capacitor. My starter lamps glow at a voltage of about 75V which I get using a resistor.

Hi Rainer, Thanks a lot for sharing this, And sorry for my late reply, it’s a very busy week :) I’ll have a look at your data asap! Thanks again and clear skies, Simon Hi Simon, What do you think about the capabilities of the uncooled ASI 174MM ? I think it is quite a noiseless camera. As I wrote s...

unfortunately the spectral resolution is too low and hence the central absorption in Halpha not visible.

Ernst

Hallo Ernst,

Thank you and understood :) but even so it was an interesting exercise.

The only way to show it was using the code

Re: 28 Tau ARAS monitoring

Hallo Ernst, I just was able to shoot a series of 6 images with 300s exposure time. LISA spectrograph @23µm slit on a TOA 130 with a 0.6X reducer. Processed in PixInsight with Bias, Dark and Flat and then processed in RSpec. https://rainerehlert.com/000_LISA/28_Tau_300s_LISA_600mm-0006_BDF_NHSA_2022...
