Really to observe any 13 magnitude star is not very useful to make it with an echelle, you know, with our telescope sizes using low resolution it is better to observe these objects.
On the other hand, just in case, it's a practical example of what I can make with my current equipment.

Hello all,
This is my first attempt to get a supernova spectrum !
The spectrum is unfortunately noisy but it seems to me that it shows some changes compared to the first spectra in this post...?
Many thanks to Joan Guarro Flo for sharing the files of his incredible echelle spectrum of SN 2022hrs !!
He convinced me of the reality of the overall shape of my spectrum !
Here is my spectrum of SN 2022hrs obtained with my Alpy 600 the 7th of May at 22 h 06 TU (resolution of 526, JJ = 2459707.4206) and an acquisition time of 30 min s (3 x 600 s) :

It's mind blowing to think this is the spectrum of a "single star" in another galaxy...clear skies to all !!

Notice how the absorption features are moving to the red as we the slower ejected material deeper in the explosion

Hello Benji, tu as pu réparer ta monture ? Il te faut faire chauffer le Lhires, l'été arrive et RR Lyr présente le bout de son nez maintenant..

I downloaded your spectra and compared the one of May 4 with Joan Guarro Flo's (May 5) and mine (May 7): they are in good agreement....except the resolution of course
!
Very interesting to see the evolution of the velocity from your spectra : thanks for sharing !
Let's hope we can continue the monitoring of this supernova !
