Spectra of stars like this which are potentially scientifically interesting but do not fall into the categories generally accepted in other databases (eg AAVSO,BeSS,ARAS) can still be submitted to the BAA spectroscopy database.

where it is listed under HD58859

Hi,

I have been reading this topic and tried my luck at this star at Bortle 6 sky.

Spectrograph LISA @23µm slit on a TOA 130 with 0.6x reducer.

26 images with 300 seconds exposure time, biased, darkened and flattened and instrument response corrected using Menkalinan star.

nice work Rainer! From the picture, it appears that an emission peak in the bottom of the Hbeta absorbtion is just visible. Would you mind forwarding the fits file to me so I can plot a comparison with all the other spectra? I'll send a direct message with my email address.

Cheers,
Hamish

I checked with the TNS, Gaia Alerts and Asassn teams with regard to posting spectra on TNS, and have started a separate topic here so that it's visible to all not just in this HD58859 thread:
