Spectropolarimetry experience with a small refracor

Post by Guillaume Bertrand »

Hi there,
Here are some nice results which show that it is possible to detect the circular polarization of a bright star (Alp2 CVn) with a modest setup (72mm f/6 refractor + 3D printed Star'Ex spectrograph).

Resuts and some theoretical and technical aspects of the experiment are detailed here (in french sorry):

Hi Guillaume,
a remarkable and very interesting work.
I studied them with Goggle Translater and all I can say is congratulations.
