Symbiotic target list for Astroplanner software

Post by John Coffin »

If anyone uses Astroplanner, I've created a list of most of the symbiotic targets on the ARAS database with a declination above + 0 deg.

You can download the plan by clicking on the 'file' tab, choosing 'user defined plans' > 'download'. Search for 'symbiotic' and it will appear. I've put in the current priority ratings for low resolution spectra and the suggested cadences. If you spot any errors, or want to make any suggestions let me know.

Here is a screenshot of the planner in action. The red dots in the graph on the left show the altitude of the target on the date specified. The graph on the right shows the maximum altitude at different times of the year.

This is how you can download the plan into Astroplanner.

Astroplanner is available here http://astroplanner.net/ but you have to buy it.
You can edit and adapt the list yourself.
