Dear colleagues,
although the eclipse of VV Cep is behind us, further observations are useful.
Why?
The campaign from 2015 to 2019 leads to the discovery of a 51 day precession period of the radial velocity of the V emission in the Halpha double peak profile (see Fig. below).
There is a need to find out whether this periodicity will persist until the next periastron passage in March 2025 and beyond.
Perhaps some observers will find again interest in contributing to clarifying this question with their spectra.
