Hello,
I have been an amateur for about 40 years but as Olivier stated, I started young.
My home is in central Minnesota, USA, several hundred miles south of Canada.
It does get very cold here but some of my most enjoyable viewing has been in the winter.
My equipment consists of a 203mm Newtonian, 120mm ED Refractor, Alpy 600 and a Star Analyser.
Spectroscopy has grabbed my interest like no other astronomy topic. I just can't learn enough about it.
The best of imaging to all of you!

Welcome to the group John,
Yes it certainly is very addictive ! I have dabbled in various aspects of astronomy but this has held my attention more than any other.
Cheers
