Observing again tonight after a 2 week gap (bad weather and travelling away for Christmas)
The potassium absorption from the eclipsing disk of epsilon aurigae is still just visible at 7699A but very weak now. I predict it will disappear in the next 2-3 weeks but it might still be visible in the Na D lines

Hi Valerie,
I spoke too soon. We have just had a shower of hail stones

I had to turn the telescope upside down and empty them out of the dew shield. I hope the corrector plate is ok

Just back from "castorama" to buy a Weber barbecue protection... It is very efficient to protect a telescope ! at least the mount.
