Hello,

some of you already know me from my participations at OHP. I am a physicist with a career in spectroscopy and an amateur astronomer for a long time. In my professional career I worked in laser spectroscopy, thin film design and analysis. Recently I built an echelle from components I saved from earlier spectrometers not in use anymore. I use it on a Vixen VC200 Cassegrain with a GPDX mount. The first spectrum of Vega I recorded with a simple camera and a prism on film many years ago, but then switched to other fields such as astronomical navigation. I am also a member of the Swiss astro spectroscopic group:
