Hello,
When I which to make observations for later processing with ISIS, what ADU should I aim at for my flats, and maximum signal of stars? Like IRIS, ISIS is clipping everything above 32K.
Is ISIS working from -32K to +32K, or is it in the 0-32K range? Does it sound OK to pre-process data in SIRIL (for instance) and later work with either IRIS or ISIS ? Or is there any flag in ISIS to deal with non-negative 16 bit FITs ?
Thank you

Re: how many bits?
Hi Fil,
ISIS does not clip above 32k for me. I see the full 64k of my camera ADU. I think ISIS also uses a higher bit depth internally and correctly handles negative values
Cheers
