spectral classification of an "invisible" supernova

I have been experimenting with taking spectra of supernovae embedded in galaxy cores. Transient AT 2021huw was only detectable in images after subtraction of a template image of the galaxy. I used a similar technique to subtract the galaxy component in the spectrum to reveal the supernova spectrum, using an archive spectrum of the galaxy from SDSS.
The resulting spectrum was good enough to identify the transient as a type Ia supernova and officially confirm it in TNS. more details on my BAA page
