A nova has been discovered in Ophiuchus on march 27, 2012.

Here is a spectrum taken on march 31st, 2012 with a LISA spectrograph and a 85mm refractor. Spectrum shows clear P Cygni profile on Halpha:

Astrometry of a single R filtered image with AAVSONet telescope K35 (1.25 arcsec/pixel) at Astrokolkhoz gives the following results:
J2000 17 26 07.01 -25 51 42.69
Approximate V mag is 12

Superbe raie Ha, surtout avec ce diamètre.

En revanche le pic vers 5700 ressemble à un cosme pas retiré.

Bonjour,

c'est le seul spectre où j'ai utilisé la fonction pour retirer les cosmiques dans ISIS (j'en avais un à droite de l'image très gênant). Mais à 5700 il s'agit plutôt d'une raie de pollution/atmosphère mal retirée...

Il faut être très prudent avec la fonction de retrait des cosmiques. Si la trace du spectre est très très fine ou que l'on a une raie en émission très fine (comme c'est le cas dans ton spectre avec la raie du ciel) l'algo peut accrocher dessus et prendre ces détails pour un chapelé de cosmique, ce qui peut détruire l'aspect du spectre.

Il n'y a pas de soucis avec des spectres Lhires par exemple ou même des spectres LISA d'objets faibles, mais attention acec ce dernier spectro lorsque la largeur du spectre s'approche de 1 pixels.
Chargez les images @mapxxx qui indique où les cosmiques ont été trouvés et controler que la distribution spatiale de ceux-ci est assez homogène (bien lire la liste des fichiers intermédiaires produits par ISIS).

New spectrum on Nova Oph 2012 (April 17), with LISA (23 microns slit and C11) - during a short weather opening window
from south of France:



The objet is now relatively bright and Fe lines are also intenses, with a P-Cygni profile.
