Bonjour Michel,
Thank you, I think that it's the border due to all elements losing detectivity so far. The Piera NOU_T, has some little differences or circumstances over the SMM one, in the other words, each NIKON 85mm. F1.8 has little inappreciable differences the same as the Relco and Tungstene lights. In the practice the results are, meanwhile Piera NOU_T has a range of 3706.5 to 10442.9 Angs. with 39 Orders, SMM has "only" 3762.5 to 9969.15 Angs. with "only" 37 Orders.
Luckily, you know, both of them give very good fine graphics with very slow noise at R=8500, overall on zones that are of high interest for the analyzers.
All of that is thanks at some improvements in the NOU_T echelle, first the Richarson or Optometrics echelle grating -- Thorlabs one is deficient --, the new CMOS 16 bits camera, an ASI2600MM on both cases, -- is another world compared with our dear ATIK460EX --, and finally the ISIS software.
So, in my opinion, all of us could use these powerful new tools now, and within our means, because it's necessary that we improve our observational works, or not ?. We mustn't send R=1**00 files with plenty of noise at database places, we shouldn't treat these as if the stars database would be noise landfills anymore.
This V442 And is a graphic expression that I can say.
Many thanks again, Joan.
