Hi Olivier, did you buy a spectrograph at San pedro de Atacama? ;)

After several rainy days and night, for the moment here is clear with some clouds crossing the sky. Our nova has not gone away... Now I just finished 4200-5200 A spectrum. I'm not sure to complete other ranges because of clouds. I Hope...

Forbidden oxygen wants to "take off". The brightness of nova has dropped and several stars appear now in slit view with 0.5 sec exposure. They are very useful when the nova will be too weak for guiding in the slit.

Ciao
Paolo

PS: I read about WETAL 2013, a very nice meeting. You will also know prof Shore in person! Shame we are so far...

Given the quality of the sky that I had in San Pedro, I would have wanted to do spectro ... ;)
And since my return to France, the weather didn't allow me to do some spectro.

I hope the weather will be good next week ?
