Spectrum of Cas A (3C461)
A spectrum of supernova faint remnant Cas A observed form my urban observatory (the supernova explosion was observed by Flamsteed in 1680). The spectrum is complex and lines very distorded by Doppler velocity (up to 10000 km/s) :
