bug in Vspec saving some fits files

Post by Robin Leadbeater »

I have found a strange bug in Vspec tonight. If you try loading the attached fits file and then save it, the saved spectrum is shifted about 3A. (It drove me mad tonight trying to work out what was happening. It does not do it with all fits files and ISIS works correctly)

Hi Robin
(my password is now restored)
I do confirm this is not working properly. If I save it as spc, it works fine. I see some blank lines in the fits header, I need to take some time to digg into this.

I found the bug. It is not the blank lines, but a bad management of a CRPIX1 value which is negative in this file. I will post an updated version soon.
Thanks for your patience and for finding this tricky one.

I posted a V4.0.2 on the web - Hope this bug is fixed now. I also solved the Spectrum directory setting.
