Re: Didier (Bourgogne) AAPAT - Présentation

Bonjour Didier,

Un sympathique projet collectif!

Quels sont les spectroscopes dont le groupe dispose?

Cordialement,
François Teyssier

Reference Star

Peter, Robin, thank you for your interesting inputs. The subject is not easy. Pros and Cons. I raised the subject to Christopher Corbally ("Stellar Spectral Classification") Chris considers that HD 143807 should not be used as it is likely to be spectroscopically variable. Résumé of the di...

Re: V919 Sgr in outburst

A great spectrum at Mag V ~ 10.6! The outburst is produced by an increase of the luminosity of the hot component (envelope of the white dwarf and/or accretion disk). The mechanism is not well known. At this state, it appears as a A-F giant/super-giant (to be precised by a detailed study of the absor...

Re: Call for observations of the preoutburst phase of T CrB

Dear Rainer, Nice spectrum! Shepe of the spectrum and wavelength calib looks good. Id: you have also He II and He I. But you have very probably (almost certain) artifacts, for instance in the range 6000-6200. I would suggest you compare with a recent LISA Spectrum in the db: https://aras-database.gi...

Call for observations of the preoutburst phase of T CrB

T CrB belongs to the very small group of recurring novae (RN) and among them the symbiotic sub-group (SyRN). http://www.astronomie-amateur.fr/SymbioticStars/NovaeSymbiotiques.html Its first outburst was detected in 1866 during which Huggins obtained the first spectrum of a nova. The second outburst ...

Re: The case StHA 154

Very interesting and accurate input from Jaroslav Merc. Once again, congratulations to Keith! And a thought: do not hesitate to dig in the symbiotic lists http://astronomy.science.upjs.sk/symbiotics/ and have a look to any MIII star in the sky. Surprises are possible!
