Margarita Karovska communicates:
I noticed that the spectroscopy of MWC 560 is continuing - beautiful spectra!
I hope the observations will continue as long as possible, and especially in March when HST re-observations (first half of March), and XMM observations (in second part of March) are planned .
V694 Mon is still very bright.
AAVSO light curve and ARAS spectra (triangles)
A daily coverage is requested until mid-April
All the best,
François

Re: V694 Mon
Hello all,
Between two clouds covers...I finally got a new spectrum of V694 Mon !
The spectrum below was obtained, on March 2 at 21 h 05 TU (Alpy 600, resolution 502, JJ = 2458911.3787, 8 exposures of 300 s) :
Clear skies to all !

Re: V694 Mon
Here is my low resolution V0694 Mon spectra from last night (04Mar20):
Lots of interesting absorptions in the blue balmer end. The split absorption/emission figures indicate high gas flow velocities occurring.
Hbeta is almost 1/2 as intense as Halpha.

Re: V694 Mon
An update with an echelle spectrum obtained on 11th of March, the date of HST observation.
The SNR is a little bit low due to cloudy weather
The velocities of the absorptions remain low for this object.
Monitoring continues until mid-April. Daily observations should be a must for this very variable target
